J. L. Petit of the Perpendicular architecture of the kitchen of the 7th century Benedictine monastery known as Glastonbury Abbey, in Somerset, England, United Kingdom. The ruins are a Grade I listed building by English Heritage. Legend has it that the kitchen was built by Richard Whiting, (the last abbot), in defiance of King Henry VIII of
