This is an original British Cavalry Horse Bit, dating from the mid 20th century. It is constructed of Stainless Steel, as marked on the mouthpiece of the bit: STAINLESS STEEL MADE IN ENGLAND ELDONIAN. Eldonian indicates the style of bit it is. It bears TWO brass rosettes, one to each side. These Rosettes show a British Lion atop a Queen's Crown surrounded by the Battle honors for PENINSULAR and WATERLOO. Most
