I believe his head is made of plaster

The lid features a very dark stain with a nice border detail

Persian Qajar Antique Pottery Vase with Bluebird and Flowers hand-carved Mexican mask Three of the four II really love the colors on Persian Qajar era pottery super lush, immediately recognizable, and I think all the better for the crazing and other imperfections they've invariably acquired over the past century and a half or so. I especially like the form of this one, with its round body and long thin neck, and the bird that appears on one side, rendered in that amazing Persian blue with green belly and wings. Around the rest of the body is an explosion
