clearly hand-painted and also very cheerful

with just five tips inside

and can't find another like him now

Theorem on Velvet and Silver Papered Box mid century pottery The bright "pearl" or "china"I've had a few theorem painted boxes of this sort now, c. 1880s, and will keep scooping them up when I can as I think they're lovely and make for a special means of delivering a little token of love or friendship. The corners of the lower half had split on this one, which I took the liberty of mending with transparent archival tape, shoring it up for many more years of life. With pretty silver paper on the exterior, and a pink lining to the interior
